Sleepy lil' girl & her mommy

Aren't newborns just...so...breathtakingly adorable? Little baby Paige is no exception. Our friend's daughter decided to break out of jai...I mean, her mommy's womb a tad bit early, but I don't blame her. She's just so scrumptious, I couldn't help but head over to the hospital (with another girlfriend in tow) to meet the little angel. No one can resist the power of newborns!

Little Paige put her mommy into labor around 3:30am, but didn't come out until 7:25 in the evening. Here's a short version of Paige's birth:

• 3:30am---water breaks. Mommy doesn't know why she can't stop "peeing."
• 3:55am---rush into the delivery area into the hospital where doctors confirm that mommy is 5cm dilated.
• 12:30pm---administered the epidural after nearly choking a nurse 'til she was blue in the face.
• 5:10pm---Fully dilated. Starting the BACK labor push (which the epidural didn't help).
• 7:25pm---Baby Paige announces to the world she's here!

'Course, since I'm there at the hospital, I managed to sneak in an impromptu newborn photo session with my newest little client, and Paige didn't mind. She did scream once she got hungry, but after a little feeding, she started modeling for me. And, oh, what a fantastic little model. Originally, we had scheduled a family / pregnancy shoot this weekend, but baby Paige wasn't having it---she wanted to BE in the picture. Of course, I obliged. And, yes, Paige isn't even a day old yet, and she already has enough pictures to fill a couple of albums.

As for little Paige, she's completely healthy, even though she came out a tad bit early at 35 weeks and 6 days. She weighs 5.4 lbs with a length of 17 inches. She is a beautiful little girl, and she's already got her mommy, daddy, and big brother wrapped around her perfect little fingers.
